Terms of Service

1. The Service

MyLogbook is a digital maintenance logbook for FAA-certificated mechanics and aircraft owners. It is designed to support compliance with FAR 43.9 and 91.417 record-keeping requirements. We do not certify the accuracy of records you enter — that responsibility remains with the certificated person making the entry, per FAR 43.9(a).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to enter into binding contracts. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

3. Account

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use. Better Auth sessions expire 30 days after issue and are refreshed daily while you are active; you may revoke them via the Settings page at any time.

4. Subscription, Trial, and Fees

Pro includes a 15-day free trial. Starting the trial requires a payment card. Unless you cancel before day 15, the trial converts to a paid Pro subscription (monthly or yearly, as you chose) and your card is charged automatically. You can cancel anytime before day 15 from Settings → Billing and you will not be charged. Yearly plans are billed at ten times the monthly price. Paid plans renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. If you cancel a paid plan, it stays active until the end of the period you already paid for and is not renewed. Fees are billed in advance via Stripe and are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing on 30 days' notice; existing paid subscribers will not see a price change mid-billing-cycle.

5. Record Integrity (FAR 43.9)

Maintenance logbook entries you sign in MyLogbook are appended to a tamper-evident SHA-256 hash chain and server-signed.Merkle roots are anchored hourly to Ethereum L2 (Base) mainnet, making entries tamper-evident and independently verifiable; earlier proofs on the Sepolia test network remain verifiable and are labelled legacy testnet. MyLogbook will not edit signed entries on your behalf. Soft-delete applies to draft / un-signed records. If you delete your account, your records are removed from view and handled as described in Section 8 and the Privacy Policy; signature and audit records required for FAR 43.9 and 91.417 are kept.

6. Acceptable Use

• Do not falsify aircraft, airmen, or maintenance records.
• Do not reverse-engineer or scrape the Service.
• Do not upload unlawful, infringing, or malicious content.
• Do not exceed plan limits via multiple accounts.

7. Your Data

You own your data. You can download a ZIP archive of your data (JSON and CSV) at any time from Settings → Data. We retain sealed maintenance records while your account is active and afterwards as described in the Privacy Policy. See our Privacy Policy for details.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deleting your account anonymizes your name and email, ends your sessions, and removes your aircraft and records from view. We do not run a scheduled purge of stored records. Some records are kept where the law requires, such as signature and audit records tied to FAR 43.9 and 91.417 record-keeping. Email privacy [at] myaviationtools.com to request erasure of other data. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these Terms with notice where practicable.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. We do not warrant uninterrupted service or error-free operation. MyLogbook is a record-keeping tool — it is your responsibility to ensure your records meet the regulatory requirements applicable to you.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (a) $100 USD or (b) the fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms; if we make material changes we will notify you by email or in-app at least 30 days before they take effect.
